In this video I demonstrate the Fabfilter Pro-G. It’s an extremely powerful gate plug in that can work wonders on a variety of sources. This example shows how well it can clean up a live kick drum track that is otherwise unusable with all the leakage from the rest of the kit.
About a year or so ago I was asked to test a prototype DI from Cloud Microphones which included some unique and very useful features such as variable impedance, Hi Pass filter, and options for additional output gain. There was some definite tweaks to be made but overall it was a fantastic box. The unit is now available as the Cloudlifter Zi. It’s a great tool for the studio and if you’re in the market for a DI I suggest checking this one out.
In this video I demonstrate the Softube Console 1 MKII on a set of drum tracks using the SSL 4000 and 9000 Channel strips.
In this video I discuss my thoughts and experiences with the Softube Console 1 MKII. In the near future I will follow up with a few videos demonstrating the unit in used.
In this video I demonstrate the Acustica Audio Cobalt EQ on a drum buss. It’s a really smooth EQ that’s worth checking out!
In this video I demonstrate the new Slate Digital Virtual Tube Collection on the stereo buss of a track. You can hear it in it’s most drastic settings and then dialed back to something that would be usable for a final mix. It’s worth checking out!
